With the smashing of a “champagne” bottle on the hull, I’m off! The AFE (Awesomest Fort Ever) has launched. A couple thousand miles later, I can say the trailer is doing quite well. Continue reading Launch!
Construction continues. All kinds of parts and pieces are coming together. No epiphanies on anything else because I’m too busy working in Texas heat to think of anything else. Continue reading Even More Construction
Construction continues, every day. If I’m not doing client work or sleeping, then I’m probably working on the trailer. I figured it’s about time for a photo dump here to show some of the projects I’ve been working on. Continue reading More Construction
I got back to Tyler near the end of March, and I’ve been working on the trailer ever since. There’s definite progress, but I feel like it’s going slowly. A zillion little details, and the logistics of the correct order-of-operations is kind of crazy too. Continue reading Construction
Moving on from Lake Isabella, we took a very tight and windy road (read, not relaxing when you’re driving a wide rig!) on to “Alabama Hills“, just outside of Lone Pine, CA. So I’m not setting up my blog postings in the same order as how they happened in the real world. Oh well! We recently went to a place called Sandy Hill (campground) near Lake Isabella, CA. Lots of rock scrambling opportunities along a pretty little river, and plenty of hiking nearby as well. Continue reading Lake Isabella
So today was one of those fun days to be an RV’er! Adventures, activities, a little too much travel, and landed at another RV gathering. Continue reading Great RV Day!
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted, and I was trying to post a bit more frequently, but there’s just been too much going on! I’m caravanning with a group of RVers and we’re busy doing stuff, all the time! Continue reading Adventures with Friends
Lots of hiking and new sights the past couple days. I’ve been to two different slot canyons and to Fonts Point and another spot near it. The slot canyons are fun because the canyon narrows to literally just wide enough for a person to squeeze through. Fonts point has some amazing views, photos below! Continue reading Slot Canyons and Fonts Point
