Tomorrow I’m heading back to NC to pick up my camper. When loading the trailer with all of the household goods that were being transported, it ended up being too front-heavy. As a result, I had to leave the camper behind otherwise I would have exceeded the cargo capacity of the truck (but not the GCVW). Continue reading Return of the Camper

Moving Adventures
Today I’m in North Carolina, helping family with the move to Texas. The finances cleared showed that having me help move was better than renting a pod or a moving truck, and I was itching for some travel, plus I’m here to help with moving things, so it all works out. Life in Tyler, TX
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, and that’s basically because I haven’t been doing anything directly RV-related. After getting the power and water turned on, there were still a bunch of other little things to do before really settling in, and that took some time. Getting Established
I arrived on Monday, and I’m slowly getting set up. I’m exceedingly thankful that I have the truck camper, it’s proving invaluable in the last couple weeks. Honestly, I have no idea how people move everything they have across the country without one of these. Continue reading Getting Established
And… I’m off!
The house has been cleared out, the trailer packed, camper loaded, and I’m on the road. The deck is on order, the rental management company is engaged, and the weather is slowing me down, as usual. Continue reading And… I’m off!
Identity Theft
Someone tried to open a best buy credit card under my name, and someone racked up a variety of charges on my favorite credit card. Yep, it’s identity theft time, again. Continue reading Identity Theft
Texas Tales
I arrived in Tyler, TX one hour later than planned, (not bad considering the events leading up to getting here), and I’ve spent the last few days with my parents as they shop for a house here in Tyler. We’ve driven all over, crossed most of their houses off the list, and are working through the process. Continue reading Texas Tales
The gods hate me
It has not been a good day today. By 9am I was broken down, in traffic, and didn’t get out of Phoenix until after 4pm. And someone stole my backpack somewhere in the middle of it. Continue reading The gods hate me
Flurry of activity
After an incredibly dull weekend, suddenly there’s something to report! Tonight I’m writing from a boondocking spot in Quartzsite, AZ. It’s fantastic to not be in Las Vegas! Continue reading Flurry of activity
Connectivity Changes
The wireless industry is changing all the time. The nuances, inheritance, and possibilities keep shifting. Today I made a shift of my own for how I’ll be accessing the internet from this point forward. Continue reading Connectivity Changes
