Friday I arrived at my latest spot, Agua Caliente Road. Yesterday I decided to go on a walk, which turned into a hike, which then turned into a climb. Went up one of the mini-mountains here in AZ. No real reason to do so, other than it was there and I didn’t have much else going on. Continue reading Agua Caliente Road

Granite Gap
With the help of the ‘net, I found another great BLM campsite. I love these things. Free place to stay, nobody around, quiet. It’s perfect for me. Plus I have even better cell signal here than I did at the last place! Continue reading Granite Gap
Travel Update
I’ve been on the road for a few days now, so I figured a travel update is in order. I gave myself some extra time on this trip so I can be much more casual in my pace each day, and that’s a surprising change. Continue reading Travel Update
Construction Update
I haven’t been posting much because I’ve been too busy with construction. So, since I don’t have any new insights to share, I figured I might as well share some photos. Continue reading Construction Update
Dump tank plumbing
I’m working on building the frames to hold the dump tanks, and their placement. Tonight I tried to figure out where, exactly to mount them down. I know the general area, but an inch or two here or there can cause various complications. Continue reading Dump tank plumbing
Budget? What Budget?
Many of the upgrades and updates I did on the truck camper were actually performed before my last trip. Because of that, I was basically climbing the walls with boredom waiting for my next trip since I didn’t have the budget to continue buying tools and supplies for the trailer build. So, I disregarded the budget (for now), and I’ve continued with the trailer build! Continue reading Budget? What Budget?
Delays & Detours
I’m making some slight changes to the projected timetable for the trailer build. Due to the RV budget being used up on non-build-related items (travel, truck maintenance), it’s become apparent that I’m going to be using the truck camper for a while longer than I had originally planned. I had planned on being able to start really using the trailer by spring 2018, but with the planned expenses of the trailer build versus the available budget for it, it’s not going to happen that quickly. As a result, I’ve started putting a small amount of money into the truck camper to make it a more comfortable rig for me. Continue reading Delays & Detours
Stupid Human Body
Those of you that have known me for a while know that I have a saying, “Stupid Human Body.” We, as humans, are afflicted with all sorts of diseases, conditions, injuries, issues, etc. It seems rather silly to me that we should have to deal with all of these things. Continue reading Stupid Human Body
Travel Updates
Being in an RV lets me wander about freely and spend as much or as little time in places as I see fit. I can make plans, change them, and then modify them some more, and there’s no consequences. It’s not like booking flights, hotels, rental cars, etc., all with a fixed schedule so you can get back to work on Monday. This really feels like a much better way to live life. Continue reading Travel Updates
Good Weather & Good Times
I’ve been in MN the last couple days and have been having a great time. The weather has been a welcome relief from the Texas heat and I had a great night out with Jessie last night. It’s pretty awesome being able to travel relatively inexpensively and go see and do the things I want to do. Continue reading Good Weather & Good Times
